Mission
Our mission is to provide information on information literacy and provide opportunities for Connecticut librarians to grow and enhance their teaching skills and effectively promote life long learning in the state of Connecticut.
History
The original purpose of the Connecticut Information Literacy Conference was to create an environment in which academic librarians from the Connecticut Community College system could meet to engage with the newest delivery systems of information literacy instruction and each other in order to streamline the IL educational process as much as possible. This original purpose was expanded to include the academic librarians from both the community college system as well as the Connecticut State University system and finally included academic librarians from both private and public institutions from throughout the state in April of 2011.
